Norway in a Nutshell

The tour departs by train for Oslo and includes a ride down the Flåm Railway, one of the most spectacular train rides in the world. From your carriage window you can enjoy the view of lofty, snow-capped mountains, thundering waterfalls and peaceful green meadows in the valley down below. A boat will take you from Flåm along the Aurland and Nærø Fjords to Gudvangen. From the boat you can see the massive snow-capped mountain peaks and the small farms that cling to the steep mountainsides. Dinner and overnight will be at historic Stalheim Hotel, with a spectacular view over the Nærøy Valley. The next day a bus will take you to the ski resort of Voss and then along the shores of the Hardanger Fjord  (right) with its steep mountains, waterfalls cascading into the crystal clear fjord, and colourful green hillsides dotted with plush fruit orchards and charming fjord villages.

Then across the wild gorge of Tokagjelet Ravine on to the old and beautiful Hanseatic city of Bergen. Accommodation in the historic Hotel Admiral located in an old marine warehouse with a wonderful view of the harbour, wharf and fish market. Individual dinner arrangements. The third day you will enjoy a 7 hours train ride back to Oslo, across the wild and barren mountain plateau Hardangervidda with numerous lakes, glaciers, hill dairy farms and, if you are lucky, herds of wild reindeer. Minimum 20 participants.
